Berries!

A great low-calorie snack full of flavor and vitamins!
One cup of blueberries offers a decent amount of vitamin C and minerals for only 83 calories. One cup of raspberries offers vitamin C and potassium for 64 calories.

Raod to Fitness!

It's summer & tis the season to get FIT! Plus, we all want to look drop-dead AWESOME in our swimsuits! Therefore, I decided to take up another board for the summer and create a fun little game between me and my coworkers. There was a lot of debating when the task of creating the rules finally rolled around, so here's the final product and what we all agreed on.

The gameboard! I can't wait to see who makes it to the top!

I even made little players for each of my co-workers! :)
It took a long time and I think this is the most I've ever stalked
people on Facebook in a given day.

Busy Bee Buletin Board!

I enjoy creating pretty backgrounds for bulletin boards & hiding little details to keep the viewer's eyes memorized for a moment longer. Enjoy!

May Birchbox 2011

My birchbox came in this past week and I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures! Thank goodness for the internet! SO, these were some of the products that I got in my birchbox this month. I'll review them from left to right.
The first item is the Archipelago Pomegranate Soap from their gift set. Among other things, pomegranate extract repairs cell damage and spurs collagen production for smooth, firm skin. In addition, the soap includes Phase II Enzyme boosters, which help to detoxify skin and neutralize free radicals. It did leave my skin feeling smooth and firm, but I prefer soaps that are creamy and leave my skin feeling moisturized. I did enjoy the energizing scent that it gave off.
The second item was the Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Rose Glisten. I really liked this selection! It hydrates your lips and also adds a shimmery look to conquer your quench for a stylish look and a hydrating feel.
The third item was the AHAVA Purifying Mud Mask.
Laced with jojoba, it uses pure Dead Sea mud and Kaolin white clay to detoxify skin without stripping it of moisture. Best of all, it works in just two minutes!
The fourth item was the Kérastase Bain Chroma Riche shampoo for color treated hair. The formula actually repairs texture to give you softer, healthier, and shinier hair. Not only will your tresses look more beautiful, but they’ll also smell amazing—a nice perk.

What I value the most

I value my friends for all they do & for being there when I need to vent or a shoulder to cry on. They value my thoughts and opinions and never put me down. Most of all, thanks for the happy memories and the countless hours of laughter! I love you all.

Late Night Epiphany

I've decided that this summer will be dedicated to working as much as I can on weekdays and dedicating my weekends to life-long dreams and goals.... to do things that I've wanted to do but couldn't because some sort of aspect in life was holding me back.

So... cheers to the upcoming exciting summer! I've made my list and I plan to add to it. I may not complete everything, but I'd like to try. I want to experience something that will quench my need for exploring, traveling, and finding something that will soothe my soul, heart, mind, and body.

List:
1. Skydiving
2. Surfing
3. Rock Climbing
4. Mountain Climbing
2. Unplanned Road Trip
3. New Friendships & Old Friendships

....& now back to my 10-page educational policy paper.

Excaping from Reality.

Currently I have been taking a Nutrition class and I've been learning so much about my unhealthy diet and how I have been damaging myself by little things that i have been doing (or lack of) in my daily life. Did you know that soups have a lot of sodium?! I live on soup and rice (yes, I love rice)! Thanks to this Nutrition class, I've been eating a lot healthier. No more canned soup and piles of rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Instead, I've been eating more fruits and vegetables. :) yum!

As the weather has been improving and becoming increasingly pleasant and warmer, I have been taking up more exercising. Instead of cooping myself up in my apartment's tiny basement gym (with no windows), I've been running outside. Mind you, once I graduated from high school, I discontinued running and eating healthy. I am still dumbfounded as to how my body still looks the way it does. I'm so glad that I'm starting to run again. It's a great stress reliever & I feel so much better every time I end my workout session. I have new running shoes as well! Nike Free Run +2 are awesome!! They are incredibly light and they are sooo flexible!

Summer is fast approaching (if not already here)! Let's go out and enjoy the weather and improve our health while doing so! Have a great day everyone!
